Man stabbed wife to death after she accused him of chatting to other women on Facebook
A Bulgarian massage parlour worker was savagely knifed to death by her husband after the pair rowed over him chatting to other women on Facebook.
Jamshaid Khan, 30, faces a possible life sentence after being found guilty of murdering Milena Yulianova.
During the trial at the Old Bailey the prosecution alleged Khan, a "manipulative and controlling" Pakistani immigrant, stabbed his wife of 15 months after she refused to help him stay in Britain.
The tragic violence erupted on January 28 at their home in Forest Gate, East London.
An argument broke out over Khan talking to other women on Facebook and allegedly calling her a "bitch" and a "prostitute" to them.
He claimed she then pulled a kitchen knife from behind her back. He tried to grab it and they struggled.
During the fight he said Milena was struck with the blade.
He said he finally managed to grab the knife and throw it out of reach before Milena collapsed and he ran for help.
Witnesses say they saw Khan walking in the street with blood on his hands.
The killer stopped a passing car and told them he had just stabbed his wife.
The witness came to help and told Khan to go back to the house.
Then, along with other passers-by, he tried save Milena's life.
Police found her with stab wounds to her chest and arm.
She was taken to Newham General Hospital where she died at 10.22pm that evening.
Kahn said he stabbed her in self defence.
But prosecutor Lisa Wilding QC told the court: "We suggest that he did so in a rage brought about because she had failed to assist him in his pursuit of a visa to reside in this country."
"He is, we will suggest to you, an obsessive and controlling man."
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Andrew Kelly, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "We will never really know what happened between Milena and her husband that afternoon as she is sadly not here to tell her side of the story.
"However, the jury were satisfied Khan deliberately stabbed Milena in the midst of their altercation and I am pleased with today's verdict."
Kahn, of Nigel Road, denied murder.
He will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on Friday.
