Nicki Minaj fights racial double standards, calls out Kanye West and Sharon Osbourne

The rapper covers the November issue of Marie Claire magazine, and in the monthly she is not holding back on her thoughts about the way black women are treated in Hollywood, in both the rap world and the media. But instead of just voicing opinions, Nicki is backing up her concerns with concrete examples and facts.
The 33-year-old zeroed in on an issue with Kanye's 2005 hit "Gold Digger" and used the lyrics to explain the problem she sees with the portrayal of black men's relationships with black women.
"I'm so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they're going to leave them for a woman of a different race," Nicki shared with the magazine. "It wasn't funny when Kanye said [in his 2005 hit 'Gold Digger'], 'When he get on, he'll leave your a-- for a white girl' -- and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now. It wasn't funny when he said it; it was the f------ truth."
And also on the subject of Kanye West's wife, Nicki spoke about the double standards women of color face in the media. The rapper offered another specific example of the bias to Marie Claire, saying, "When Kim Kardashian's naked picture came out, [Sharon Osbourne] praised it, and my fans attacked her for being such a hypocrite. So it wasn't trashy and raunchy when a white woman did it, but it was when a black woman did it?"
After Nicki's "Anaconda" single art was released -- which featured the rapper in a sports bra and G-string -- Sharon famously went on "The Talk" and likened the photo to a "cheap porno cover of a DVD." But when Kim Kardashian West posted a naked selfie on Instagram Sharon applauded the reality star, called the photo "inspiring," and even went so far as to emulate the photo herself on social media.
"It's quite pathetic and sad, but that is my reality, and I've gotten accustomed to just shutting it down," Nicki reflected.
The rapper also touched on problems she sees all women, not just black women, struggling with -- having the wrong type of goals.
"Nowadays, I feel like [young women] see marrying into money -- I think that's a big thing now. I don't want that to be a woman's goal in life," Nicki explained, before offering some sage advice for what women should be striving towards. "I want your goal in life to be to become an entrepreneur, a rich woman, a career-driven woman. You have to be able to know that you need no man on this planet at all, period, and he should feel that, because when a man feels that you need him, he acts differently."

Lil Jon Addresses Donald Trump 'Uncle Tom' Remark on 'The Apprentice'

Lil Jon released a statement on Friday night to address allegations Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called the rapper an "Uncle Tom" during production on season 13 of The Apprentice.
"When this 'Uncle Tom' incident happened on Celebrity Apprentice in the boardroom several of my cast mates and I addressed Mr. Trump immediately when we heard the comment," Lil Jon wrote on Twitter. "I can't say if he knew what he was actually saying or not but he did stop using that term once we explained it's [sic] offensiveness."
The rapper added, "I also want to be clear that I don't agree with many of the statements Mr. Trump has said during his current run for President."
On Friday, the Daily Beast published a report alleging Trump called Lil Jon an "Uncle Tom" when he saw him dressed as Uncle Sam as part of a segment on the show.
"We kept trying to explain to [Trump] that that's not a word you can use, that it's offensive," an Apprentice employee told the Daily Beast. In response to the claims, Trump campaign spokesperson Hope Hicks told the Daily Beast its report was "simply untrue."
This is the latest controversy around Trump's time on The Apprentice. On Thursday, it was reported Trump allegedly mocked Marlee Matlin for being Deaf by calling her "retarded"; on Friday, a former Apprentice contestant came forward to claim Trump tried to kiss and grope her without consent (Trump has denied those accusations).

Everyone Reacted in a Very Cool, Normal, Good Way to Beyoncé’s In-Concert Ear Bleed

You have the same number of hours in a day as the goddess Beyoncé to not do gross stuff like this. While onstage at the Tidal X 1015 concert at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center last night, Beyoncé realized her ear had been accidentally sliced open (!) during her performance. Rather than creating a hashtag celebrating how absolutely unfazed Bey was at the sight of her own blood, Twitter chose the primrose path and created #CutForBeyonce, a hashtag populated by fans jokingly or not so jokingly offering to cut themselves in honor of Queen Bey. (While bearing all the hallmarks of a bit, #CutForBeyonce might pull up some NSFW images, so be warned before clicking.) "Yes," said Beyonce, a human being with feelings, as she checked Twitter today. "This is what I wanted. This is a fun joke and I’m glad it exists."

Nicki Minaj Slams Kanye West's ‘Gold Digger’ Lyrics, Racial Double Standards

Telling it like it is. Nicki Minaj didn’t hold back when she slammed Kanye West for the lyrics of his 2005 hit “Gold Digger” in a new interview.
The 33-year-old “Anaconda” rapper took issue with the West’s portrayal of the relationship between black men and women, calling him out in the November issue of Marie Claire.
“I’m so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they’re going to leave them for a woman of a different race,” she told the magazine. “It wasn’t funny when Kanye said [in his 2005 hit ‘Gold Digger’], ‘When he get on, he’ll leave your ass for a white girl’ — and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now. It wasn’t funny when he said it; it was the f--king truth.”
Minaj similarly pointed out the double standard that exists for women of color who choose to pose provocatively or semi-nude for photos they share to social media.
“When Kim Kardashian’s naked picture came out, [Sharon Osbourne] praised it, and my fans attacked her for being such a hypocrite,” Minaj said. “So it wasn’t trashy and raunchy when a white woman did it, but it was when a black woman did it? It’s quite pathetic and sad, but that is my reality, and I’ve gotten accustomed to just shutting it down.”
Minaj is no stranger to controversy. In May, a photo of her giving side-eye to fellow singer Demi Lovato went viral, causing Lovato, 23, to declare that the fashionable fete would be her last one.
The “Confident” singer captioned the snapshot with the hashtag “#whatsgood,” in reference to a famous line Minaj used against Miley Cyrus at the previous year’s 2015 MTV Video Music.
