A man has been raped and robbed, sparking Greater Manchester Police to launch an investigation.
Officers are appealing for information after a 23-year-old man was
attacked by another male on Brazil Street at around 4.30am on Wednesday
October 19.
The two men walked a short distance together before the victim was raped and mugged in a doorway.
His watch and ring were stolen after the sexual assault.
The suspect is described as around 5ft 10, around 30-year-old and of
Asian appearance with short black hair and some facial hair.
It’s believed he was wearing a black jacket and grey bottoms at the time.
Detective Inspector David Moores, from GMP’s Serious Sexual Offences
Unit, said: ‘We are currently reviewing CCTV from the area and are
carrying out a number of enquiries.
