Now that Wizkid has gained global stardom, Tanzanian singer, Ali Kiba, looks to be threatening his position in Africa.
Their first altercation occurred when Ali and Wizkid had a backstage feud over who would perform before the other at Chris Brown’s concert in Kenya.
‘Ali Kiba felt he is bigger than Wizkid in Kenya hence, he could not understand why he was scheduled to perform before,’ Kenyan media stated then.
Ali won the dispute and Wizkid had to perform first. Besides, it was in East Africa, NOT West.
The French-speaking singer was voted
‘favorite male artist’ at Tanzania People’s Choice Awards (Tuzo Za
Watu), so he has all the rights to brag.

Then again, Ali Kiba was awarded 2016
MTV EMAs ‘Best International Act: Africa’ – taking over from his
country’s counterpart, Diamond, who won it last year.
Ali Kiba’s 2016 song ‘Aje’ – his first
work released under Sony Music – multiplied his fan base in the East
Africa and his collaboration with Kenyan band, Sauti Sol on ‘Unconditional Love’ are his major highlights of this year.
Africans LOVE Wizkid, but every region has its CHAMPION.
