Lionel Messi breaks ANOTHER Champions League record with Barcelona

Lionel Messi has broken another record by becoming the highest ever goalscorer in the Champions League group stages.
The Argentine opened the scoring in the 21st minute against Manchester City by rounding off a superb counter-attacking move to take his tally to 54 goals in the group stages.
And that has now put Messi one ahead of Raul, who had led the way with 53 goals in the group stages during his time at Real Madrid and Schalke.

Messi has also improved his tremendous record against English sides in the Champions League which now stands at 16 goals in his last 14 games.
But despite Messi’s opener at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City equalised through Ilkay Gundogan.
