Barman saw man drop date rape drug into date’s glass – so he swapped their drinks

A barman decided to literally give someone a taste of their own medicine, when he witnessed an attempted date rape.
He was on duty when he noticed a man at the bar slip a drug into the drink of the woman he was with, he confessed on the app Whisper.
The man, who stayed anonymous, said that he waited for the right moment and when the man looked away, he swapped the drinks around so the would-be assailant had the drugged drink instead,
His actions potentially saved his date from being assaulted.

‘I’m a bartender,’ he said in the anonymous confession. ‘Last night I saw a guy drug a girl’s drink.’

‘When he wasn’t looking I switched the drinks. Watched the guy drug himself.’

The accounts posted on Whisper app cannot be verified as people submit them anonymously online.

And we should point out that the best course of action in a case like this is to call the police than put yourself at risk of potential prosecution.
But it’s always good to take action and help someone if you sense they are in danger.

Several other people gave accounts of stopping assaults via the Whisper app.

One person said they threw their shoes at someone who they saw some men try to assault a girl who had passed out.

‘Tonight I stopped a drunken girl from being taken advantage of,’ one person wrote. ‘I put her in a cab and sent her home. Got called a cock block by the guy who was trying to get her. I take that as a compliment.’

Another said: ‘A few years ago, my friend got some girl drunk and started taking advantage of her and I stopped him. Years later, he is no longer my friend and I’m getting married to the girl.’
